Soft Washing for Delicate Exterior Surfaces
Soft washing is low-pressure cleaning that relies on appropriate cleaning solutions and dwell time instead of force. On siding, roofs, stucco, painted wood and most delicate exterior materials, it is not the gentle alternative — it is the correct method.
Pressure is a tool, not a strategy. High pressure has its place on concrete and hard masonry. Used on the wrong surface, it forces water behind siding, furs wood, erodes mortar, strips paint and takes granules off shingles.

Why organic growth comes back if you only blast it
The green and black on a shaded wall is living growth, not dirt. Knocking the visible layer off with pressure leaves the surface looking better for a short time while the underlying growth remains. A proper soft wash treats the growth so results hold up longer and the surface is not damaged in the process.
Plants, pets and property
Soft washing near landscaping requires care and a routine: pre-wetting beds, protecting sensitive plantings, controlling overspray and rinsing thoroughly afterward. We work that way as a matter of course, not as an upgrade.

- What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

- Is soft washing less effective?
- On the surfaces it is meant for, it is more effective. It removes organic growth at the source instead of just knocking the surface layer off.
- How do you decide which method my house needs?
- By the material and its condition. Most homes end up being a combination: soft wash the siding and roof, surface clean the concrete.
